Cocktail Class Series Part II: Signature Drinks & Infusions Wednesday April 12th at 6pm
Part Two of our Cocktail Class series offers infusions and signature drinks! We'll go through the history of tincturing, medicinal uses for alcohol and traditional herbal pairings. Next we'll dive into methods for infusing your own spirits at home to create a signature flavor. We'll finish each class with lessons on how to deconstruct classic cocktails, and add a new spin using signature flavors for our own unique beverage.
Each class includes demonstration, recipes, cocktail tasting, hands on cocktail mixing, and snack pairing.

Body butters are a delicious blend of luscious oils and plant waters whipped together to make light and creamy body treatments. In this class we will explore the many types of ingredients available and how they impart their healing qualities to the skin. We will learn how to infuse oils with plant materials to enhance these products. We will have hands on learning and a take away of a few of our creations.
Tuition includes expert lecture, take-home butter, and a healing cocktail and snack pairing.

Cocktail Class Series I | Classics & Mixology Basics Thursday, April 20th at 6pm
Our beginner class to express your inner mixologist. Begin with cocktail basics, followed by a history of spirits and how to use them. As well as tools, glassware and beginner mixing techniques. Leave with an arsenal of classic recipes and the hands-on experience to recreate them at home.
Each class includes demonstration, recipes, cocktail tasting and snack pairing. Tool kits and take home packages will be available for purchase.
CHEF DINNER SERIES E. Smith Mercantile welcomes chefs from around the globe for a very special one night culinary experience. The Merc is cleared and we set large family style tables to make way for multiple courses of chef magic.
We couldn't think of a better team to mark our 30th GUEST CHEF DINNER!!! Our Meat & Noodle friends kindly present a very special evening of dinning and imbibing in the Merc. A Sunday evening tradition on Vashon Island, the team have been preparing home made noodles and broth for a lucky few for many years. Together they have a small farm operation raising pigs, sheep and poultry on the island, and provide custom butchery & charcuterie for other local farmers. Scrap and bone are then lovingly turned into broths for this special pop-up soup project. If you love meat and you love noodles, this will be the best combination you've ever experienced.
