Inspired by Mama Poole's love of a tequila grapefruit, blended with the E. Smith Mercantile signature smoke flavor, our Campfire finds itself at home in all seasons. The key is to use fresh grapefruit and high quality honey for a depth of flavor. Don't forget your ESM Smoke Bitters and Alder Smoked Sea Salt. THE MINER'S CAMPFIRE
1 oz blended single malt scotch
1 oz blanco tequila
.75 oz Fresh squeezed grapefruit
.5 oz honey simple syrup (1 part local honey, 1 part water, shake until dissolved)
Alder smoked sea salt
Rim a rocks glass with Alder Smoked Sea Salt. Lightly shake all ingredients in a shaker with ice until combined. Pour into rocks glass. Top with a half dropper of Smoke Bitters (approx 10-15 drops). Pull out your banjo for a rousing rendition of "She'll be Comin' Round the Mountain."
